Bluffs Hotel:
Luxury Hotel Archetype (64 floors)/ Downtown St. Paul/ Mary Islet,
Manager/ Subtle bias against orcs and trolls/ LTG# 1675(47-6482)
The Bluffs Hotel is the newest in the Metro area, and handles the traffic
from the airport. Private Limos are assigned to every client, housed in
the large private garage beneath the building. Each floor contains four
large penthouse rooms for the most discerning executive.
Toby's Resort:
Luxury Hotel Archetype (12 floors)/ South Central Cities/ Yuri Gargari,
Manager/ Strong Bias against metahumans/ LTG# 7542 (84-9873)
Toby's Resort is not quite a resort in the strongest definition of the
term. The hotel provides a rural atmosphere in the middle of a bustling
metropolis complete with large indoor lakes and "forests." Although the
accommodations are small, the resort nature of the hotel makes it the
most popular in The Cities.
NorthStar Resorts:
First Class Hotel Archetype (4 floors)/ Outer Ring Zones/ Michael Watson,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 7542 (54-6724)
These can be found in most of the outer ring zones, and are very popular
with the less well to do. Most NorthStar Resorts provide a queen sized
bed, a small living room area, and very luxurious accommodations outside
the rooms.
Hayatt Regency:
First Class Hotel Archetype (23 floors)/ South Central Cities/ Malcolm
Sneider, Manager/ Strong racial Bias against elves/ LTG# 6542
(78-6518)
This hotel was recently bought out by a group with a strong hatred
against elves of any sort. This hatred is probably what has kept this
hotel chain from joining the ranks of the other luxury hotels. Most
rooms are equipped with twin double beds or a queen sized bed.
Embassy at St. Croix:
First Class Hotel Archetype (17 floors)/ East Outer Ring/ Heather
Schneider, Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 1648 (64-7358)
The Embassy at St. Croix is a lovely hotel located on the Wisconsin banks
of the St. Croix river. The view is gorgeous, as is the hotel. Each
room has a queen sized bed and 24 hour maid service.
TCH:
Family Style Hotel Archetype (3 floors)/ Located Throughout/ Brian Smith,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG # 6578 (05-6701)
The TCH (Turner Classic Hotels) is a chain owned by the media mogul
Edward Turner's empire. The hotels are nicely equipped for the family on
the go, and most offer very reasonable rates. All the hotels are built
from the same blueprints, and although spacious, are not tremendously
well built.
ComfyBed Inn:
Family Style Hotel Archetype (4 floors)/ Located Throughout/ Stephen
Spade, Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG # 6408 (80-9750)
The ComfyBed Inn is just that. The management spent all their money on
comfortable beds, so each room is rather bare. The beds appeal to
everybody though, and thus the prolonged existence of the hotels. The
hotel food is not very good, but overall the appeal is there.
Lester's Family Hotels:
Family Style Hotel Archetype (6 floors)/ North Inner Ring/ Lester Hope,
Owner/ Strong Racial Bias against metahumans/ LTG# 64 (70-6481)
These hotels are popular with the families that do not wish to be
"bothered by the stench of metahuman existence." Unfortunately Lester is
extremely racist, and his hotel chain exhibits this racism. The hotels
are nicely decorated, and more than suitable for the average (human)
family.
Lock 'n Store:
No Frills Hotel Archetype (3 floors)/ South Inner Ring/ Bob Wilson,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 1807 (64-7081),br>
The Lock Ôn Store is more of a large closet than a real hotel. Each
occupant is given a small 6 by 6 room for their use. Rental is on a 24
hour basis, and the room lock changes after that period of time. Lock 'n
Store is cheap though, and a room will go for approximately 10 nuyen a
period.
RestWell:
No Frills Hotel Archetype (2 floors)/ Inner Ring Zones/ Art Fabel,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 9705 (64-6370)
The RestWell hotels are the typical "coffin" hotels, although the
premises are very well lit and nicely maintained. RestWell claims to
have the lowest homicide rate of any of the coffin chains.
Hideaway's:
No Frills Hotel Archetype (1 floor)/ Inner Ring Zones/ Wallace Binkley,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 8143 (24-6413)
Hideaway's is no frill. The coffins are small and cramped with no added
features, but the cost is cheap, approximately 2´ a night.
Guilliani's:
Luxury Restaurant Archetype/ West Central Cities/ Domino Guilliani,
Owner/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 6484 (74-8043)
Guilliani's has the best Italian food in the entire metro area. The
ambiance is quite beautiful as well; the restaurant is set up like one of
old Italy. The restaurant is one of the most popular meeting places of
the Mafia for both in-house meetings, and meetings with outsiders. The
Mafia have a full time bouncer on the premises that keep out
troublemakers.
Red Pagoda:
Luxury Restaurant Archetype/ North Outer Ring/ Yan Lu, Manager/ Subtle
Bias Against Metahumans/ LTG# 1675 (64-8043)
The Red Pagoda is the Yakuza hangout of choice. The food is authentic
Japanese and the restaurant has an attitude to match. The Red Pagoda
boasts the best Japanese cuisine in the Twin Cities area, a claim that
can be substantiated by any person that eats there.
Norte Tijuana:
First Class Restaurant Archetype/ East Central Cities/ Wayne Buckler,
Manager/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 7610 (84-6804)
This restaurant is a very popular hangout for the business crowd around
lunchtime. Norte Tijuana has very good Mexican food, although its
authenticity is not quite on par.
Ursula's:
First Class Restaurant Archetype/ West Central Cities/ Ursula Andes,
Owner/ No Racial Bias/ LTG# 6470 (20-6424)
Ursula's has a fare of popular dishes from every ethnic background.
Again, this is a very popular lunchtime hangout of the corporate suits
from the West Central Cities, although its popularity also brings in a
large well-to-do family crowd.
Terry's:
Family Style Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ Subtle Bias
Against Metahumans/ LTG# 6470 (64-7086)
Terry's is a large nationwide restaurant chain that claims great security,
24 hour open door policy, and inexpensive prices. The food is average,
but the prices make Terry's popular for the college crowd, and family
dinners.
Fryer Restaurants:
Family Style Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ Subtle Bias
Against Orcs and Trolls/ LTG# 8706 (55-6485)
Fryer Restaurants are popular for most of the same reasons Terry's is
popular. Unlike most family restaurants, Fryer Restaurants have a
"Kiddie Korner" specifically to entertain the children while the adults
talk. This entertainment center is watched by an armed security guard
while any kids are playing. The food is above average, as are the
prices.
Podwonklar's:
Family Style Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ No Racial Bias/
LTG# 3434 (38-8430)
Podwonklar's is popular for the wage slaves without children. The
restaurants are well lit and secure, but have no children's menus. The
restaurants also have very good food, but at premium prices.
Dogs and More:
No Frills Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ No Racial Bias/ LTG#
4674 (80-6731)
There are rumors that the dogs in Dogs and More are the stray animals the
humane society does not want to deal with. Dogs and More has a limited
menu, the food stinks, but kids seem to like it.
Rap'd Meal:
No Frills Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ No Racial Bias/ LTG#
6480 (94-9730)
Rap'd Meal incorporates a newer idea in small restaurant management. The
menu is very large, the prices reasonable, but the food is entirely
prepared before the buyer by an automated system. This guarantees warm
food, prepared to exact specifications.
Fude:
No Frills Restaurant Archetype/ Located Throughout/ No Racial Bias/ LTG#
7098 (64-8111)
Fude restaurants are constantly filled with gang members from around
town. The food is quite horrible, the atmosphere and security have much
to be desired, but if anybody is looking for word on the street, this
would be a good place to check.
Notre Dame:
Large Club Archetype/ Downtown St. Paul/ Red Argen, Manager/ Strong
Racial Bias Against Non-Magic Users/ LTG# 4487 (64-9732)
Notre Dame is a large club decorated in gargoyles and stained glass
windows. The club is the most popular hangout for the magically
inclined, and has strong ties to many magical groups. Although Notre
Dame could be a strong haven for the criminally inclined, the management
frowns on such activity on the premises.
Club Left-Hand:
Large Club Archetype/ South Inner Ring/ Natalia Orlov, Manager/ No Racial
Bias/ LTG# 6432 (48-9480)
The Club Left-Hand is another popular college hangout with techno music,
a large bar, and lots of "babes." The Club is also a popular hangout of
shadowrunners looking for work, and the Johnsons know this.
Unfortunately, because of some recent busts by Lone Star, the Johnsons
have been staying away. There are rumors that the basement contains
several illegal activities such as money laundering, boatman's pass
forgery, and prostitution.
Werewolf? There Wolf!:
Large Club Archetype/ East Inner Ring/ Gregory Hamilton, Manager/ No
Racial Bias/ LTG# 6480 (64-6080)
This is the most hapenin' place in the entire metro area. The waiting
list can take months to get onto, but once into the door, your life will
never be the same. This club is frequented by everybody who is anybody,
corporate suits, Johnsons, and only the best shadowrunners. This club is
so popular that Lone Star has accepted graft to keep it popular, running
the gangs away from the area.
